Knee exercises

Tips for inner knee reducing:
"Sit on a chair with one leg placed in front of the other. Do not have knees opposite each other. Now slap knees together twenty times. The fat part of the one knee will be slapped by the bony part of the other knee. Change positions of legs so that the other leg is slapped. Be careful not to knock the bones together as brusies will result".

In one of Kate's Cookbooks, she suggests that...
"We often laugh at ourselves for clipping and copying recipes, for saving those bits of paper long after they're torn and creased, for hoping that eventually we will get around to trying the recipes. But after all, it's quite understandable, for food is our business. We buy it, prepare it, and serve it. Three times a day, three hundred and sixty-five days a year. Our first question is 'what shall we eat?'".

In Kate's cookbook she delivers a few tips such as...
"Oven baked casseroles are delicious but the dish is hard to wash. If both casserole and lid are oiled before mixture is spooned in, no soaking is necessary. A hanging rack above the mixing table that holds measuring cups, mixing spoons and knives saves time. When a recipe calls for sour milk or cream both sweet milk and sweet cream can be sourced by the addition of one tablespoon vinegar to one cup of either".

Kate also provides helpful hints to what we should eat daily. An average adult should have at least one pint of milk, one or more servings of a wide variety of meat or fish. Also, liver once a week. One egg. Dried peas or beans may be substituted. One leafy green or yellow vegetable and at least one potato per day. Half a cup of citrus or one-cup tomato juice, plus other fruits. Three servings of whole grain or enriched bread or cereal, and two tablespoons of margarine or butter.
