When word came in 1905 regarding the advent of the V.V.&E. Railway, once again the town was moved, for the third and final time. Kirby bought land there and built an hotel, which remained in the family till 1946. Other buildings were moved down and by the next year most of the town was gone. A few of the people stayed on the upper flat, but business dwindled and now the only thing left to mark the site of Upper Keremeos is the cemetery.
